Description

Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT) is a sophisticated integration of mindfulness core principles and traditional Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). In the services where MiCBT is regularly implemented, complex clients with multiple and chronic difficulties experience rapid and sustained improvement in most life domains.

This 4-day professional workshop will comprise two 2-day sessions, separated by two months to provide participants with opportunities to apply the tools learned in their clients. PART 1 will cover traditional CBT, its applications and limitations. PART 2 will provide a rationale for the integration of mindfulness with CBT and demonstrate effective skills to facilitate the treatment of acute and chronic conditions. A master class and case demonstration on video showing the efficacy of MiCBT will be included. Participants can register for either or both sessions.

PD Points

Particpants may apply personally for 14 PD points for PART 1.
PART 2 of this workshop is endorsed by the APS Colleges of Clinical, Health and Counselling Psychologists - 14 specialist or generalist PD points.
